Jimel Williams

Born in East Harlem and raised in Albany, Jimel fell in love with Stillwater during a summer visit at age 12—and never left. He attributes his personal growth to the compassionate teachers of Stillwater, who helped him feel understood. He is a proud Stillwater alumnus who went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from RPI.

Jimel is a proud father of 3 beautiful children and resides with his loving wife. With over 26 years of civil service, he currently serves as an IT Manager for NYS. His career has spanned multiple state agencies, where he has built expertise in technology leadership and public administration.

He previously served as president and vice president of the Stillwater School Board, and also served as a board member at WSWHE BOCES, which oversaw 31 school districts.

Jimel is proud to give back to the community that has given him so much and we are thankful to have him serving the residents of Stillwater.
